Deceptive Practices

Our church had a falling out with our pastor and as a result it created a division of sorts within our church. As a result, it was the church's stance that before starting a new pastoral search we would look into organizations that were set up to help heal churches. We ended up hiring Titus Ministries that supplied a minister who would come in and help the church through a healing process.

The healing process ended up being more of a conversion process where this pastor alienated elders of the church and surrounded himself with yes men. The ministry was not so concerned about healing as they were with creating a post modern church. Part of the "healing" process was to form a group of people that were given absolute power to rewrite the church constitution and create a church focus by selecting a few Biblical Doctrines that the church would elevate as their focus. To elevate certain Biblical doctrines over other doctrines is unbiblical as is the enpowerment of the group of people who were selected to lead the church.

In addition to this, the Titus Ministries pastor has no ability to reason. If you disagree with anything he says or believes, you are in the wrong and it is because you have a hardened heart.

I would caution any church contemplating using Titus Ministries to fully research the organization. Ask questions concerning their processes, their absence of Biblical Support for their "healing" practices, and be prepared for a full church conversion.

Our church is continuing to decline in numbers and in Christian Harmony. We have learned that when you think you can solve a problem using man's solution, you insult the Lord and you will go nowhere.
