Unauthorized charges

I have just noticed two unauthorized charges on my debit card for Shopping Essentials at $19.95 each. I never authorized this company to debit any amount from my account. After doing some investigating on my own and coming across your website, I see that over 300 other consumers have been ripped off by this company. They were able to access my information from Classmates.com.

I called Shopping Essentials this morning and prefaced my call by telling them that I am an attorney. I informed them that they had illegally obtained funds from my account and that they were going to refund my account the two unauthorized charges today. The employee on the other end of the call (Shirley Emp #26449) said she could reverse the most recent charge and would have to transfer to me a supervisor for the previous months charges.

I was then connected to the supervisor (Sue Emp # 15382) who asked me to explain my situation. Again, I informed her that I was an attorney and that they had illegally obtained funds from my account and that they were going to refund my account the two unauthorized charges today. She apologized for the inconvenience and like Shirley, promised me that I would have the full refund of the two charges back in my account within 3-5 business days. I was on the phone for less than 5 minutes, obviously they do not want to mess with attorneys!
