Tried to charge for unneeded work to be done

I had the oil changed on my wife's car at Wal-Mart and when I picked it up they told me it had a minor leak that I should have checked out.

On May 14th I had a 10:30 appointment at the Marlowe-Werner service dept. At approx. 11:10 I was informed that they checked out the car and I would need to have all the gaskets replaced at the cost of approx. Thirteen hundred dollars or more.

I misplaced the estimate, but 104.75 was billed to my Visa reference #2430 1338134118000100080 On May 14th

On July 15th I took my wife's car to Pierce Service Co. They checked it out and had to replace the pan gasket, oil plug, oil filter, and oil because of a slight dent in the oil pan that should have been seen at Marlow-Werner if they had truly checked out the leak. It cost $215.61

I believe at Marlow-Werner the service technition never checked the leak out and I would have been completly ripped off.
