Claims they put a new lower unit on the engine but put an old rebuilt one

One year ago we brought our 20 ft century boat to custom machine shop inc.in homestead fl, 436 krome ave, they charged us 3,250.00 cash only to fix our engine which we thought was a deal, which we paid in full. On july 3 we had problems with the engine again and brought it back there thinking we had a 5 year warranty on the repair. Boy were we wrong!!!

We left the boat there so they could look at it, thats when the problems started. They called us saying it was not the same problem and we would have to pay 2100.00 to have it fixed we declined, and decided to pick up our boat on july 78 when we got there, the engine was in pieces torn apart.

We left the boat there to have the engine put back together not agreeing to have them fix it, instead just to have it put back together and delivered to us if we payed delivery charges which we agreed to. On july 18 they were supposed to deliver the boat to us, but they called 5 times throughout the day with excuses why they could not.

The next day july 18 they finally delivered the boat, but claimed they fixed it and wanted 2100.00 plus delivery charges! We did not except the boat and the man named jose than drove away with our boat saying he would hold it hostage until we payed what we owed. We never authorized them or signed anything for them to fix it which they did not it was in worse shape than when we brought it to them.

The owner would not return our phone calls, they said they would charge us everyday for storage fees until we paid them!!! Today july 21 we went to pick up the boat and pay just because we wanted it back so we did not have to deal with them anymore. They than decided we owed them 2400.00.

When they tried to start the boat the engine would not start, we waited for them to fix it so we could just be done with them. We again paid them only cash because that is all they except, on the way home we recieved a flat tire on our trailer which i truly believed they did on purpose!!! This company has many complaints against them that are very similar to ours, they are preying on innocent people because they can and no one will stop them.!!!

They are a ripoff company and need to be stopped. How many people are they going to screw over before they are stopped!!! They are rude, relentless, and just plain con artists. I want to help someone, anyone that even thinks about using this company because all they will give you is grief. If i can just help one other person for not making the same mistakes we did we will be happy!!!

This company needs to be stopped and i just dont know how to do it. Please help in any way that you can to expose this company for what they truly are a piece of sh*t!!!
