Door to Door salesman claiming my purchase will earn him points towards a European trip

On February 11, a nice young man came to my door and offered to sell me magazines. I wasn't particularly interested, and the man claiming to be Todd Niim sold his way into my home. He was a tad bit inappropriate about the way he approached me, he was very flirty and gave me alot of suave compliments as he discussed what he had to offer. While I was juggling my infant daughter, I explained to him I did not have a lot of money though I was interested in some of the magazines that would be nice for my husband. He offered me a deal of magazines for $40, once again, I told him I did not have that much money.

That was my mistake, giving him the idea that I had money but not enough. He asked how much I had and sold it to me for about $20. At that point, the $20 was worth about what it should cost for a class to watch out for scammers, and to not be so stupid next time. The magazines never came.

There is no real address or company name for which I could look this up other then on the back of the receipt that he gave me.

After learning that I am not the first person to report this about the R L A Inc / Kenmore company, I would strongly recommend not to purchase from any door to door salesman, no matter how innocent it seems. He took advantage of the situation, adjusting his attitude to my age and that I had my infant daughter. I give him snaps, he was pretty good. I'm just glad it wasnt more then $20.
