Community Marketing Solutions
CMS lies to get you on second interview—completely different from job description

Miscellaneous

I went to Charlotte to interview with Community Marketing Solutions thinking that it would be for a marketing position... Totally wrong. The office was in the back of a building and the only sign on the building was for a cafe. The office looked like it could have been folded up and moved and the front desk person was blasting music while people filled out forms. My first interview was about 15 minutes long and basically all they did was give a very vague description about the "company" and ask one or two questions about me. This led to being asked back for a second round the next day. I was told that I would "shadow an executive" from about 12:30 to 7:00. I was told to wear business casual. This was ALL the information given.

The next day was completely ridiculous. I was sent out into the "field" with two people about as professional as fast-food employees. We drove about a half hour into a residential area and parked at the end of the street. The next SEVEN hours were spent with me following the two "executives" around, door-to-door, asking about phone plans. Did the company mention that I would be walking around ALL day just watching some person try and sell updated phone plans to people that rarely answered their doors? NO. Did they mention ANYTHING about going out on the road? NO.

This company completely lies to get you out on their "customer service territories" which is basically just door-to-door sales. They tell you about how you can make six figures in less than six months and how you can be the president of your own company making half a million a year with less than a years experience. Lies. Don't make the mistake of wasting your time with this company like I did.
