US Bank
Ripped off my money

Miscellaneous

I had two accounts with US Bank, one for checking and one for savings.

One day my checking account was fine and then the next my account went into overdraft, they charged me $8 a day in fees the next thing i knew I was $300 over drawn so i began dumping all i could into my checking account. No matter how much I deposited it wasn't enough - the fees ate me alive.

The next thing i knew they began taking what little money i had in savings into my checking account and they then threw my savings account into overdraft. I was not told of these out rageous fees when i opened my account or that they would rob my pittiful savings account by transferring the funds into the checking account without notice or permission.

Then I got a letter in the mail saying my checking account had been closed due to an out standing overdraft of $431, then the following week I received another letter stating that the same account had been closed and I owed them around $650. How can a closed account accrue over $200 in debt after its been closed?

Three weeks later I received another letter stating that my savings account had been closed due to an over draft of $34.

What does not seem right about this, especially in this day of hard economic times?
