Don't give them any type of account numbers

My wife was trying to shop for a good used car and fell into the "Bargain Network" trap. They requested to charge your credit card $1.95 for shipping & handling for some sort of a bargain hunting kit. After 30 days my wife called and cancelled the account. (At least that is what she thought) What they don't make it clear that you are going to continue to be charged at the rate of $39.92 a month for a so called "site membership" fee. Their charges went un-noticed for several months before I detected the erroneous activity in our account. There is no way to get your money back, it is a truly cruel operation that thrives on the needy who can least afford to be taken for a ride. This company's business practice goes over the line of common moral decency.

I followed up by filing a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. The charges are still currently under dispute with our financial institution to settle this issue. Don't give them your account number untill you are crystal clear on what you are purchasing.
