Microsoft Company International ESS Promotion / Mr. Irvan Khosa illegal email scam

I got an email sent to me, allegedly from Microsoft Promotion Award Team, saying that they are located in Manhattan, New York and that on behalf of Microsoft, my email address was chosen and had been been selected for a cash prize of One Million Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand British Pounds Sterling [1,350, 000.00].

Of course, I realize that this is another e-mail scam ring, possibly originating out of Nigeria, through the UK, since I have been targeted by others doing the same thing.

I deleted this email as spam and encourage anyone else who gets a similar email to do the same thing. You might want to report this travesty to Microsoft, but I feel certain that they are not responsible for these kind of spam emails. Some bad people are using the Microsoft company name to swindle people. I have no idea how they get people's personal email addresses, but I don't think that is important. What is important is that people know that this is an email ripoff scam and that Microsoft is not to blame for this. I am in no way related to Microsoft, but I am a savvy enough consumer to realize when someone is trying to scam me.

Don't pay any attention to these emails and delete them or report them as spam to your internet provider.
