Double charged, no response, so far no magazines

I agree with what Jeff said, that so far this is a scam. I was bullied into letting this young man into my house - he simply walked in, and then when the washing machine in the foyer wasn't enough to write on, he walked into my living room to sit down so he could write on something. As a young woman, I felt I could do nothing about this, and he fed me the same cock&bull about making enough points to go to Mexico, and acted like he was a kid in my own neighborhood; saying "do you remember me from last year?" And asking how long I'd lived here. Same thing with the sticker on the door too, "bug off" so his competition couldn't bug me.

He convinced me into 3 magazines, and split the order in two (he talked so fast I wasn't following what he was doing) and wound up charging me double the "processing fee" as a result.

I did my own research (although unfortunately I hadn't found this site yet) and realized I'd been way over-charged per what these magazines normally charge, so I sent a cancellation letter within the required amount of time, but because father's day was approaching, I decided to keep the Wine mag I ordered and requested it put in another name. I sent an ADDITIONAL $60 for this single order, but cancelled the 3-order prior. I stupidly did NOT cancel the check. So now I have 2 orders of the Wine mag, and 2 other mags "supposedly" coming. As I hadn't heard from them, I left six messages within three days and sent ANOTHER letter to them complaining of their cusomer service, threatening the BBB and law action if they did not either honor my cancellation or return the money order for the second order.

So far, no communcation from this crap USA agency, I just hope at least I get my magazines and never see these scam artists again.
