They sent me a very detailed letter stating that they tried numerous times to contact me about my winning

Someone named John Wilson sent me a letter with an award notification from the 2008 Consumer Promotion Price held on April 30 in the 3rd category. He went on to say that they pulled my ticked with the winning numbers. He said that I was entitled to $75,000. It was part of $1,875, 000 that was shared and presented among 25 winners. He even gave my a claim number and told me not to share it with anyone. Enclosed was a checked for $2,400 that had been deducted from my winnings. I was to use it to a certificate of clearance and insurance. He was careful to tell me not to try to cash the check until after I'd spoken with a claim agent for special instructions on claiming my winnings.

I hope someone puts a stop to them soon. I am glad a wasn't stupid enough to actually try to take the check to my bank. What really tipped me off is that I know I didn't register for any sweepstakes for the name that they gave. I hope the other 24 people will check them out before they make a serious mistake
