Big fat rip off

My husband and I went to DriveTime in April to purchase a vehicle. Our credit is kind of bad due to stupid mistakes we made when we were young and they offered to help us despite our credit. They seemed a little shady but with our credit 2 full time jobs and 2 kids what were we supposed to do? We needed a car badly so we traded in or 98 Chevy Astro that was breaking down for a 2003 Ford Windstar.

Everything was great for about the first 3 days then it all went wrong. I dont know exactly what happened but something blew up and there was oil all over the place and my husband got stuck on the side of the road with our 2 toddlers. They refused to come tow it and pick our kids up so thank God he was close to home and he pushed the van home. We called to find out what they were going to do about the problems. They said they would fix it and finally someone came to pick the car up and they promised us if it needed to be kept more than 24 hours they would provide us with a rental car until it was finished. They kept the van for 3 days and no rental car.
The second thing happened when I became pregnant. I was high risk due to losing a set of twins late in pregnancy previously and was put on strict bed rest for the first 6 motnhs. When I was 5 months pregnant my payments was 1 day late and my husband was out of town. I had no way to get there to make the payment so I called asking for an extension for 2 more days. They told me I had to go there no or else they would reposess the vehicle so I had to go against doctors orders and go to make the payment.

Now 1 year later the tranny went out, the engine shakes and they refused to fix it. I told them I would take legal action if they would not help me.instead of there help I was sent a letter to forward them 13,005 dollars and they would forward my title. I guess they no longer wanted me financed under them because I was causing so many problems. I was under warranty so I assumed I had the right to ask them to fix my vehicle. I will never buy anything from them. I'd rather walk.
Oh 1 more thing another person who filed a complaint that used to work there said that the corporate office calls the customers Roaches. I have heard that myself first hand when I called disputing the 13,000 bill. I guess he thought he had me on hold but he didnt.
