Dead Beat Dad Report in Brevard County

My sons father (Jon Russell Baker) (RUSTY) owes over $10,000.00 in back child support and hasn't paid in over a year when he was already behind then. Since then he has been stopped multiple times by the Brevard County sheriff office and even arrested for other reasons but not once did it trigger anything with his back child support.

Why not???

The local child support office (registered in Orange county and not transferred to Brevard yet out of fear it will mess things up worse) has told me directly that they can't do anything if they can't find him.

Excuse me, but wasn't he FOUND when he was arrested and couldn't they have done something if it was triggered in the computer system? I DON'T UNDERSTAND why they told me directly that I should hire an outside agency. Maybe if I had an extra $10,000.00 I could afford to hire someone to do their job.

He used to work for Brevard Aluminum and they finally were pressured into garnishing his wages. He never did pay the court ordered medical support. He sold the "trailer" in Titusville listed in the address information at the top and supposedly no longer works for Brevard Aluminum in Titusville, Florida.

The last information I have is that he was working for a similar business in Cocoa, Florida but I haven't been able to find him yet.

Brevard County has a dead beat parent list on their web site and I have finally found out that if I change the case from Orange county to Brevard County, I can file myself (because the state is not allowed to do it themself) for contempt of court and then he will be placed on this list online as well as a warrant for his arrest.

It is beyond me to understand why the state of Florida child support office is not allowed to do this and why it took so long to have a live person there tell me the truth that I have to do it myself. Where are these new strong laws?

In the mean time, my son is 11 years old and hasn't seen his father in years. The last time he saw him, "Rusty" Jon Russell Baker was drunk and talking to invisible people. I have to wonder if he is even still alive.

If anyone reads this and has any info at all, maybe just to say you have seen him and he isn't dead, please let me know. Thank you.
