Synergy Management
Mislead beyond Belief

Miscellaneous

Well, I found this ad on Craigslist for a customer service position in San Jose, CA a few days ago. The ad said no experience necessary and that training will be provided. There was no other information about the company other than a phone number.

I called and was told to come in for an interview the same day. I have been searching for work for some time now and this was my first interview in my search. So I arrived at this "company" a few hours later.

First of all, when I got there there were about 9 other people there waiting to be interviewed. We all filled out their application and the "Branch Manager" came out to introduce herself. She told us that everyone was entitled to be interviewed one at a time but due to lack of time she called us in in groups of 3 to be interviewed.

She then asked if that was ok. So we go into her office and she starts talking about the company and so on and so forth. She also said that there was a couple of positions open.

One was for a receptionist and the other was for "Entry Level Management". She asked us all 3 question each and told us that we would be contacted later that day to see if we were selected to come to a second interview 2 days later.

The interview was very brief and they didn't even ask anything about work history or what our duties were. I thought that was kind of weird. How can they determine who comes back for a second interview based on the little information they had on each individual.
So I went home and sure enough at 5:30 that same day I got a call from the "receptionist" at Synergy Management saying congratulations you have been selected to come back. She sounded so fake and was more excited than I was about the whole thing. After the call, I did some research on the company name to try and figure out what kind of company this really was.

Thank God I did. As soon as I went to Google and punched in the company name I saw Synergy Management: complaint. At first I thought I spelled it wrong and hoped it wasn't true.

Sure enough it was. I am not going to attend the second interview tomorrow after reading these reports. I am thankful and glad I did my research.
According to these reports, Synergy Management misleads everyone into thinking they are applying for a great position when what they really want you to do is sell some cheap perfume on the streets. I would advise anyone to do some research before you get your hopes up about a company that is truly a scam.
