I was charged with DUI in March (which I was not guilty of. I will explain in a few minutes). I hired Mr Shawareb to defend me. Well Mr Shawareb decided I was guilty, no matter what I said about the situation. I told him 100% of the truth about what had took place that day. But it did not matter one bit to him.

I had been fighting depression and anxiety for over 3 years. I would spend my days doing things to help my friends and others during the day. Things such as pick up the kids from daycare or take them, pay bills, take kids and others to the doctor etc. Thats exactly what I was doing when the accident occurred. My friend had been bitten by a spider or something and his arm was very swollen and painful so I agreed to take him to the doctor. Well I took him to the doctor. And his girlfriend owns a bar and after the doctor appointment we went back to the bar. We all ate lunch and I had a couple of beers with lunch. Then my friends and I spent the day cleaning and painting the bar. We finished lunch around 1:30 or 2pm. I had no more alcohol the rest of that day. I left to drive home about 11pm and on the way home I felt as if my head was going to explode and all I could think about was getting the car off of the road so I did not hurt anyone. Well I woke up and my car was against a telephone pole. Thus me being charged with DUI. I could not take a breath test because of being on oxygen and severe chest pain. I told the officer to take a blood test at the hospital, which they failed to do. He just assumed that I was drunk because I smelled like cigarette smoke and alcohol etc. Just like a bar smells. And that is the God's honest truth.

Well I explained all of this to Mr Shawareb and it still didn't matter to him. He sure was chummy chummy with Assistant D.A. Rob McClatchie. Mr Shawareb acted more like the D.A. Than the defense attorney. He never even tried to defend me once, not once. He had already formed his opinion not matter what the truth was and still is. Well all of this matter went on for a year. I tried to explain to him each and every time I had the chance but he refused to listen to anything I had to say about the case. The state had no evidence against me but Mr Shawareb refused to take it to trial.

Mr Shawareb is a liar. He never returns phone calls or letters. He doesn't listen to anything you have to say, no matter if its the truth or not. He would probably believe a lie before the truth, on anything. He did not show up for court, nor did he advise me of the last court date. I just happen to find it on the oscn.net website. The people at his office are rude and disrespectful as well. So if you ever have a legal issue PLEASE stay clear of him or you will end up either in jail or with a large fine, like I have. He is, in my opinion, a worthless attorney who probably just barely passed the bar exam. I would have done better defending myself and have money left over. He is worthless so make sure all you family and friends know about him.

1. He is a big fat liar.
2. He is rude and disrespectful.
3. He WILL NOT defend you, you are automatically guilty no matter what.
4. He doesn't show up for court, nor does he advise you of the date and time.
5. He does not fully explain anything to you.
6. He does not return phone calls or letters.
7. If you are lucky enough to get him on the phone, he hurries you off of it with explaining anything to you.

So please take my advise and hire someone else. Even a public defender would be better than Mr Shawareb.
