Harrassing phone calls / Inaccurate info / Sending threatening "Lawsuit letters"

Hello - I am happy to see I am not the only one who is being harassed by these people. I began receiving phone calls from various people at all hours of the day and night from a company labeled "ICS systems" on my caller ID. I attempted to call them back quite a number of times to find out what it was all about, only to be put on hold. A couple of times I managed to catch the ring and answered, only to be put on hold for an indeterminate amount of time by a computer system. First of all, if it is THAT important that you have to call me at 11pm to annoy me about it, don't you think you should BE THERE when I answer??? Above and beyond this, when I finally WAS able to talk to a human being, said "human" was incredibly rude and condescending.

All of this is due to a Verizon contract I entered into, which THEY caused me to bail out on. It was similar to the situation another user reported on Cingular. I was quoted one thing, and got quite another. Anyhow, this Mobile Tron where I signed up for the Verizon service is now claiming I owe THEM $300 for the service I terminated as WELL as Verizon. This individual from AAA got incredibly nasty when I challenged him on it saying "Well didn't you READDDDD the contract you signed?" I did in fact, and the one I signed had nothing to do with Mobile Tron.

So I came home today to a "letter" from Marc D. Wasserman "attorney at law" threatening me with civil lawsuit action if my debt is not paid. Funny thing is, I have extensive knowledge of how these things work and I happen to know that if I am being sued it comes on LEGAL DOCUMENTS. It also will not include the address and payment info for AAA Collection as the point of contact. It would simply let me know I was being sued and have dates for suit, etc on it. I also would have been served sneakily with it by someone asking me if I was who I am with the papers contained in a newspaper or something. Sooooo... Nice try aaa. Funny though, civil suits would not have lawyers present really... Hmmmmmm... Perhaps Mr. Wasserman should go back to law school.
