Ripped me off

I got a DUI and there was Marijuana in the car.

I contacted Phillips & Associates and came in for an initial consultation with Tom Beck, Legal Administrator. He informed me that since this is my first dui, I will not go to jail, I will not get the breathalizer device put on my car and that they would be able to bring the marijuana charge in with the DUI and it would be all taken care of at once. And that I would not have to go to court, my attoreny would go in my place. All this for $7590.00. I paid the $7590.

I was charged with extreme dui. When I met with my attorney, Laura Lehan, for the first time she told me that she could get it reduced to regular dui.

But I still have to serve 10 days in jail, and they will put the breathalyzer device on my car.

Then I asked abuot the marijuana charge. She then informed me that I did not retain them on the marijuana charge. I told her that Tom told me that they would be able to bring that charge in with the DUI and she said "He didn't read the police report". Now they didn't have the police report yet when I went in for my initial consultation.

Well why is this guy telling me that it'll all be put into one case, if he didn't read the police report yet?

Then when I met attorney Lehan for my pretrial conference, I told her that I was unable to retain them for the Marijuana charge. She told me that she may be able to get me a discount for that case and I should be getting a call from the office on the amount and that she had no control of the money. I agreed to listen to their offer.

Well the offer was outrageous!!! They wanted $12,000.00 on top of the $7590 that I had already paid. AND I still have to show up at court. So what am I paying them for? They filed a few things with the court, but it didn't seem like the work they did was worth $7590.00 and then they still wanted $12,000.00 on top of that for a charge that they said would not be brought up.

I hope no one ever goes to these shysters. They are a TOTAL RIPOFF!!!
