Secret Shopper Scam Please Beware

Be warned that you might receive an offer of employment from Altima aka Imperial Marketing & Processing. The job offer will be for a secret shopper. There will be an employment application and a check for a large sum of money. Our check was written against Atwood Mobile Products. You will be told that the money is yours and your assignments will arrive shortly. You will be asked to spend $100 etc at a WalMart, Kmart or other known company. The second step will be to go to a WalMart or Western Union and moneygram most of the money to another party. You will then complete a customer service saisfaction report and you will keep between 200 and 300 of the money. You are not to send anything until the check clears. Here is the catch. The check will probably clear but it is a counterfeit check. It will take the company awhile to cancel the funds but the funds will be cancelled. Guess what? If you used your bank account, you will now be out the money you withdrew. We felt this was suspicious and called Atwood Mobile Products and it was confirmed that the check was counterfeit. This report seems to be the best way to help fight back at people who may be scamming you.
