Eric Deigert
Placed a fake ad on ebay

Miscellaneous

On 7-9-07 I responded to an ad on ebay for the purchase of a 1964 Ford Falcon from Eric Deigert who indicated he'd been transferred on his job to Vienna, Austria. I was told the transaction would be handled through the Vehicle Protection Program at Ebay, which also turned out to be a fraud. On 7-24-07 I wire transferred $7500 to a bank in Wien, Austria. A week or two after the transfer - when I couldn't contact anyone at the ebay site or the seller, I did some further investigating and found out it was a fraudulent transaction.
