Robert is a man that has several addictions, most of which required a lot of money.
Drugs, prostitutes, alcohol and cars. He had a good paying job to support these habits and when it came time to support his children he quit his good paying job to avoid garnishment of his paycheck.
He wants to see the kids to help him live a normal life (or so he says, he uses them to cry on their shoulders) and yet can't do the right thing to support them or provide medical insurance as awarded by the courts.
He moved into his mothers house and said that I was awarded a percentage and that percentage of nothing is nothing and that is what we deserve.
