We came upon this wonderful restaurant as we were walking home from a movie.

Located on the Bowery, Gemma, is part of the new Bowery Hotel and the wonderful restaurant and wine bar was in Pre opening with a preview menu.

All the food was delicious and well priced but the food review is for another time as it was after all a preview menu.

This review is about the service which was amazing. It is true the restaurant was fairly empty given its pre opening but the staff was knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. One can hope the atmosphere and attention to detail continues with the opening as that will be what makes this a winner instead of a flavor of the moment.

Try this place for a drink, a snack or dinner.
