Unfair contract practice

I became a member of Ladies Total fitness in Nashville TN in monthly fee through an auto draft. I then decided to pay the entire3 year membershipoff with acredit card.

After one yr we moved to Virginia. I called and spoke to a rep who told me that there was a facility about 20 miles from my home that would accept my membership. I found this fair, but since I was a full time student I could not make the trip. Oh well, I came to terms that I wasted some money and moved on in life. Lesson Learned right?
WRONG!
Here it is 12 and I get a phone call (how they got my number?)
telling me that I owed them 134.00 beacuse my memebership automatically renewed. I told the rep "Denis" that I had paid for a 3 year membership and that I was not interested in renewing. He said"too bad"" I have a choice: Pay up or contiue to be billed and have it go to collection.
I asked him when they sent a notice that it was coming up for renewal and he told me in a very rude way that they did not and do not alert their member regarding upcoming renewal. I then asked to speak with his supervisor and he told me no. I then asked for the address of their corportaion and he gave me a PO Box and said I was not getting the address of the physical building that his office is located. I then asked for the name of the person in charge of this comapny. Dennis hung up on me.
So I called back.
"grant" told me pretty much the same thing in an even ruder tone of voice.
What can be done to stop this? I was told that I signed the contract and I SHOULD know that it was auto renewal.
Asking for a notice about it in my already hectice crazy life is too much???
