MLB Building and Remodeling is owned and operated by a thief and con. Michael Lieb was hired to put an addition on our home for approx. $75,000.00, which he recieved most of.

Michael Lieb talked us into giving him a deposit check for $30,000.00 to order windows, put half down on a steel framing system, and to start our job, since he was giving us "such a great deal".

After starting our project, the company he was going to have manufacture our steel framing system was to backed up according to Michael Lieb (which we later found out was not true, he never discussed the plans with the company) and we had to use wood framing. After he started to tear our home apart, he needed to start making draws from our construction loan at the bank to pay for the subcontractors he was hiring to do work.

He tore our house apart leaving sewer vent pipes leaking into our kitchen, our basement flooding, water running down the inside walls from rain, and holes on the outside wall in the MIDDLE OF JANUARY which got -20 degrees windchill. Just to name a few things. We also purchased items with our own funds (lighting fixtures, tile etc.) that we were to be rembursed for. Which he pocketed!

After not showing up for 3 weeks or returning any phone calls, the owner of a company that Michael Lieb hired to put the siding on our home showed up on our doorstep. Michael had bounced one check for approx. $5,000.00 for materials, and stopped payment on another check for another $5,000.00. The owner of this siding company wanted his money, which we already paid Michael Lieb for. After making several phone calls, we found out Michael Lieb had also bounced the checks for our lumber, windows, roofing and the framers. The owner of the siding company has since filed a lawsuit against us and Michael Lieb, they also put a lien on our home. The bank froze the rest of our funds for the remodel/addition $22,000.00. All if not most of the work that was done on our home would not even pass building inspection!

We have had SUBSTANTIAL financial strain, due to Michael Lieb. Heating cost over $700.00 a month, attorney's fees and all the other costs that come with your house looking like it got hit by a tornado! We had to go get another loan to fix and finish our home for $65,000.00.

We contacted Michael Lieb and he stated he spent our $74,000.00 on other jobs he basically did the same thing too! He is stealing money from one job to try to pay for another job. We are not the only ones he has done this too, but we are the largest! He has people and company's coming out of the wood work to sue him! Problem is he has spent all the money and his personal property is all going into foreclosure.

We tryed to file criminal charges on him, but we were denied. We have filed a civil suit against him. We have contacted Ohio Attorney General's Consumer Protection Agency, they also can not do anything with it, they "simply do not have the manpower to go after everyone". We have also contacted the Dept. Of Taxation, with no response, and some local news channels. One news channel wants to do a story on Michael Lieb and his con, and another is still not sure, they are looking into it.

We have been working on this for about 10 months and have estimated Michael Lieb has stole approx. $250,000.00 from home owners, buisness, and sub contractors.

DO NOT HIRE HIM FOR ANYTHING!!! This man and his companies are a joke, and he is a thief, con man, dirty rotten lying human being!!! He doesn't care that he is ruining people's lives, and financially devisating them for years! He also owns and runs a painting buisness MLB Painting, which he runs the same way!!
