They took advantage of a single working mother and her children who were asked which magazines they would like and got their hopes up. They are crushed because these people lied to them! Ripoff

I was at home, which was unusual because I work, go to school, and try to raise my children alone. Two college age kids came knocking at my door and gave me their "shpeal" about selling magazines for points. I had said "no", and then they heard my kids. Of course, they had to start talking about magazines that have game codes for all of the games that are out and how much the boys would LOVE this magazine.

Naturally, it was said loud enough to get their attention, and then the begging started. Finally, I gave in, KNOWING that I couldn't afford it, but I didn't want to disappoint my kids again. There are so many things that I have to say "no" to because I can't afford them, I hated to do it to them again, knowing how much they would love a magazine like this.

All of this happened on 6/21/07 and my kids have been checking the mail ever since. I got my bank statement, and the check that I had written had cleared on 7/2/07. I have yet to get a magazine or even a letter in the mail! I have to watch my kids check the mail and then ask me why the magazine hasn't come yet.

I was so gullable, I even suggested other people in my neighborhood when they asked me! I HAVE TO LIVE BY THESE PEOPLE, it's bad enough that I was taken advantage of, now I have to feel the guilt for "helping" it happen to another undeserving family.
