Ever Private Card
Made an unauthorized withdrawal from my checking account

Miscellaneous

On June 9, I called my bank and learned that a withdrawal of $54.95 came out of my account. On June 11, I went to the bank to get a print out of the cancelled check because I didn't recall giving anyone authorization to make a electronic debit from my account. When I received the check I called the number listed, 866-379-5984, and received a recording that directed me to cal 514-868-2092 (Quebec).

I called the number and after holding for 7 minutes, I finally spoke with someone. I adviced the guy that I talked to that I didn't authorize his company to take any money out of my account and demanded a refund. He said that I need to fill out the request form on there website, which was www.contacteverprivate.com. I went to the website and had to send a electronic message to there customer service, or whatever you want to call them.

Anyway, I've sent two message and each time I get the same message stating that, "checked yes to receive there virtual debit card". I sent my third message today about my refund.

I called the bank today and told them about this and I made it a point to speak with the person who printed the duplicate check for me b/c I told her on the 11th that I didn't know what this charge was. I explained to her that this was a scam and I wanted my money back because this was unauthorized. She went on to tell me that if I would have caught it 48 hours after it happened they could have done something about it. For one the withdrawal came out on Friday and the 48 hours would have been up on Sunday.

Second, I'm with a credit union that closes at 3 on Friday's so I wouldn't have time to do anything. After talking to her some more she went on to tell me to contact the Attorney General's Office to file a complaint and to see what I can do to get my money back. She was telling the wrong person this because I know how the Attorney General's Office works and I knew it would be a waste of time. My job requires me to deal with them so I already know.

I told her that since they aren't going to help that I need the Federal Regulation E form to file a complaint. She put me on hold and spoke to someone and she said they are going to try and push it back through as unauthorized to see if I can get my money back. Since I called so late in the day it won't go through until Thursday, June 14 and she said to check back with her on Monday to see if it went through. If it doesn't work I'll be filling out that form and closing my bank account with them.

I don't want to here anything about it being to late from my bank. The transaction happened on Friday, I was there on Monday and Wednesday I was calling them to get there help. It's only been 3 business day since this has happened so there isn't any reason for them to to help.

In the mean time I'm going to keep trying to get a hold of someone at Ever Private Card.
