Ripoff Coned out of Money

Well here is the version, and I hope that people read about this, and learn from my mistakes.

I got numerous phone calls in one day representing Florida Direct. I finally answered them and realized that I was offered a vacation, and all i had to do is let them take 1.99 out of my account so they can mail me my information. I happily said ok, because i just wanted to see the travel vouchers, and what they had to offer. I spoke to a women and I asked at least 10 times, nothing will be taken out of my account. She said nothing besides the 1.99 and I wont have to call and cancel anything. They put you on a recorder and they talk about the terms and agreements, so quickly that you can not understand, and use it against you when trying to recover your money. I asked the women and she said that NOTHING was going to be taken out of the account, because had that been the case, i would have hung up the phone. I asked her how she got my information, and she said that it was an outside source and not realizing until after the fact.

So 4 days later, the mail came in, and I left it on the table because i was very busy to spend time with it, and it did not concern me because as i was told, there was no obligation and nothing will be charged to my bank account. Well then yesterday, i went on my online banking, only to realize that 149.00 was taken out, in addition to the over draft charges that I occured for other items that were posted to my account. I called them immediatly! They said that I had approved the trasaction, and played to recording on the telephone of my saying yes to the lady that spoke so fast i couldnt understand.

To be honest, i even belive that they slowed the tape down when they replayed it back to me. So here I am, duped out of 149 bucks, overdrawn by 190 bucks on my account and Im pissed. My thing is that it is legal to sell someones personal information, such as name, telephone number, address, but it is illegal to sell banking information. I have contacted a lawer and waiting for him to call me back, but if it is illegal to obtain that information, i will in fact be calling the police and filing a report. I have currently overnighted my refund request, but if you look at the BBB, they have over 125 complaints lodged against the company. There is my venting for the day:-)... I will let you know if it all works out.
