Stop Check Payment Does Not Work! Fraud ripoff

Same deal here. 2 guys earning points for college. I bought 1 and gave them a check. My neighbor also bought 1 and gave check. After the 2 left, my neighbor found this site and called me. We both went looking for the 2 guys in the neighborhood to get our checks back. No luck. We both put stop payments on the checks. Today, both our checks cleared! I called my bank to find out why. They told me the checks were deposited electronically. A stop payment would not stop this.

Has anyone had more money taken out of their accounts besides the total of the check? I'm worried AM Press can withdraw money from my account electronically. I do not want to go through the hassle of canceling and setting up a new account since I have auto payments and deposits set up.
