New Beginning Association
New Beginnings Can you help me earn points by buying magazines

Miscellaneous

A young black man selling magazines door-to-door claimed to be selling on behalf of "New Beginnings", a charitable organization based in Evanston Illinois which helps the underprivledged.

I told him that I didn't want any magazines, but he went on to tell me that he earns points with each sale and benefits from any favorable comments you write about his visit. He has to support his familiy and his mother and this is his only job.

I felt sorry for him, but I have a policy of buying nothing at the door and his story sounded a bit fishy.
