While looking for a new job I replied to a job ad listed on Craigslist for a marketing position.

Soon after I get an e-mail:

[Thank you for taking the time to send us your resume. We understand how competitive the Los Angeles job market currently is and your interest in our company is appreciated. We have responded to your resume due to your qualifications and the rapid expansion of our company.

The Ad Group is a promotional marketing firm that handles and represents numerous Fortune 500 companies. We are seeking to fill our available positions with sharp, enthusiastic individuals who work well in a strong team environment.

Due to the high response to our job posting and to the fact that we need this position filled immediately, we recommend that you contact our office at 310-837-8089 during the hours of 8 A.M. And 6 P.M. To schedule your first round interview.

When you get one of these e-mails don't walk away, run. Cydcor is like a cult, I've been to there events, and I can honestly say that it's no different then the Scientologists.

They tell you it's a great job, but in reality you'll be doing cold call sales, walking business to business selling office supplies or merchant processing services, among many other services.

It's just another pyramid scheme, masquerading as an actual job.
