Be aware that this person/company is not licensed by the State of Michigan to do any kind of remodeling.
He came across as a nice guy who was trying to bounce back from lots of bad luck. He was constantly asking for money to move the project forward.
He promises a lot and spends lots of time talking about the expensive materials he is using. A bit of a tactic to justify walking away from the job I would guess.
Very bad experience with this man. Shame on us for not checking him out and trusting him when he told us he is licensed.
Another bad sign: he has done business under several different names over the past few years.
Among his past names: Windgate Painting, Morning Star Painting and now Royal Touch Painting dba Royal Touch Remodeling and Painting.
A bitter lesson learned. The tutor in this case is unlicensed contractor Marash Mike Dukaj currently based in Troy. Formerly in Fenton, Swartz Creek, Shelby Twp, Bloomfield Hills, and Sterling Heights.
