Beware small business owners. I recieved a phone call on my business line from a man named Lyle Houpt in Mckinney, Tx. He mentioned that he has credit card machines that he can lease me and it will pick up my business.

I was interested, he said he could meet me at my job. Met at the job and he tried to talk me off of the job site to go to another place, I refused. He had me sit in his car and told me a monthly rate for so many months. That was fine. I asked about an area on the contract after checking on my crew, that asks for bank info (routing#, account#) he replied that when the customer swipes the card on the machine it needs to know where to send the money to. I say ok makes sense.

I specify I don't want anybody taking money out of my account, he says it wont happen like that. So I sign the contract and 3 days later there is money being withdrawn from my account.

So I call the contact #s on the contract and they are disconnected. I then call mbf and talk with them and they say its my word against their word. So I talk to my bank and right off the hook they agree it is fraud shut down my account and open a new one.

Since then I get 8 to 9 calls a day from automated mbf leasing device. I've offered the machine back to them, they won't accept it, they say it belongs to somebody else.

The machine was never used except when he did a test run (which cost me $) and when one of the credit card companies called me for a test (which also cost me $).

Still no response from Mr. Lyle Houpt, Oh, when he prays to seal the deal you should run and tear up the contract.

Mbf & Merchant Services, Inc. Say it is not their job to chase down the salesmen who apparently does not work for them. It turns out there is about 6 companys involved in this, Havent found them all yet.
