"As Seen On Tv" & www.ripoff waste of time, deceptive company internet

This past April I saw an advertisement on television for the Sewing Genie. Since I do alot of sewing, I thought it might be nice to have such a compact machine for small sewing projects.
I called the 1-800 number on the tv screen and gave the representative all of the information including my Visa card number. She said my Sewing Genie would arrive in 6 to 8 weeks.
So I waited. All through April, May & June. No charge appeared on my credit card and when I went to the website to enquire about my order there was no record that I had ever ordered anything from this company. Now I am panicking wondering what they are doing with my Visa card information.
They also have passed on my phone number and credit card information to other telemarketing companies and I am sick of getting harrassed by computer generated "dead" calls 5 or 6 times a day before someone is actually on the line. I know it was "As Seen On Tv" & www.directlytoyou.com who provided my phone number to them because the telemarketers have referred to the Sewing Genie (which I never received) and also to the fact that I had used my Visa card.
I always tell them I am NOT interested in buying anything, but I am terrified of who has my Visa card number and what they are going to do with it. Please, folks, be very careful of "As Seen On Tv" & www.directlytoyou.com.
