Don Lapre and the cronies that he has enlisted, and others like him; have been irresponsibly allowed by the media access to the general populace. The general populace, some of which are forced to seek alternate sources of income; have fallen victim to the false promises that Don Lapre and others like him propagate on late night infomercials.

This is not a first amendment issue. Do not kid yourself. This is a con game that is unregulated by the FCC (Federal Communication Commission). I'll stay focused on Don Lapre and not others like him preying upon the general populace and say that this cannot be allowed to continue. These folks must be held accountable for their actions.

A respectable business will have helpful personnel under their employ and they will inform when a transaction will be complete to the day if not the hour in this day and time. That's 21st century technology at work.

I saw Don's infomercial about making hundreds, thousands, and even a five thousand bonus infomercial one night after coming home from a late night shift. Knowing that my job is probably going to be done (not renewed) in a few months - and the impact on my family - I decided "what the hell!" I'll give it a try and see what happens - it's just $35.00 to check it out.

So, I called the 1-800 number and the $35 turned into very closely $250 with all the extra perks to get you started so you can succeed program. They mailed me my basic program which I received about week later.

It was days after that I made contact with Don's cronies and they asked me to become a senior independent advertiser (cool name!). That bought you advertising time with local and national television media (allegedly).

Days after that I made contact with Don's platinum division. This was the ultimate deal because the other (chumps) that didn't invest like I did were going to take much longer to realize the return on their investment unlike me; I was going to see mine very quickly plus after so many sales I would be paid back my initial investment making my entire buy into the program free. Why? Because (allegedly) you were added to a list of existing vitamin clients plus you were "tagged' to other Independent Advertisers - Building you an army of advertisers." Hmm... Sounds like a pyramid or chain program?

For the record, Don's gang created the illusion of needing to call back to confirm this or that and they segued into the next step of the con - hence the progress of the deception aforementioned.

Well, the platinum program was very expensive but I had already committed; so to ensure the ROI I pressed with extreme reservation.

Then I just couldn't take it any more - I decided to back out of the entire program. I called and talked to my "personal" platinum advisor and told her that I wanted out. She told me I had to wait until my platinum package arrived and then to send it back and I would then get my refund. She said I would receive the package on Friday. I called her two times before that Friday; on a Tuesday and a Wednesday, about opting out of the program; but she thought I was talking about the platinum program. On that second try I made it clear that I was talking about opting out of the entire program. She told me to wait until Friday when the platinum package arrived and then I could send both packages back to them for a full refund. I asked her if they use RMA's like most companies do for returns and she said no.

At this point, all trust is gone - it was actually gone a day or so before because I went on line to check out Don Lapre because I remembered his name from a few years back but didn't know what happened with him. And, his infomercial, contacts, and website do a good job until recent of concealing his identity. It wasn't until a day or two ago that I saw that Don; because of his need to be in the limelight, I saw him on a late night infomercial. Amazing that he has the nerve to be the featured personality in his get rich quick infomercial. Vanity? You be the judge.

So, I called my credit card company and filed a dispute immediately. They're working it and they assume the debt. At this point, you are no longer responsible. So do not negotiate with these guys about turning off the dispute you have filed with your credit card company - that puts the liability back on you and the credit card company will not be so willing to step up and save you.

And, usacomplaints.com, if you are everything you think and profess you are then you'll teach us how to get revenge without charging us $21.95 per copy for your book thru pay pal. I'm so sick of assholes suckin' the life out of me and my brothers and sisters; that being the poor working guy just trying to do better for his/her family - to make their kid's life's better - know what I mean? So just tell us your little super secret which it's probably not. Doesn't your little ploy put you into the same category as them? No? But I submit, pretty damn close.

I'll find my own avenues for revenge minus $21.95 shipping handling thank you very much.

Finally, the reason why I conclude this message in this manner is because I've been in the U.S. Military for almost 27 years and I have just recently retired. This all makes me wonder what I was fighting for and defending. I thought I was fighting for and defending integrity and honesty and the American way of life - which are all one and the same.

I've served in Desert Storm, Bosnia (Operation Joint Endeavor), and looked across the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) at PanMunJom into north Korea and seen the enemy face-to-face.

The only thing I ask of my brethren whom I've defended at the shores of our homeland and in far and distant places is but the basic element that all seek - honesty.

Instead of greed and avarice, if we only practiced truth - we would experience prosperity that would be unparalleled. There are different paths to follow to achieve that Utopia.in the meantime, I can only appeal to your sense of right and wrong and those concepts that are a product of your family life. So, what you are doing is either right or it is wrong depending upon the family values that you were taught as a child and practice to this day - of course, there is always some modification.

Such a glutton for "fame and glory" he's now on the infomercials and his websites are prominently displayed.

To Don Lapre and others like him whom exploit the honest people that simply want something that augments their income... Aren't they (we) suckers? The adage, if it's to good to be true then it probability is... Is certainly applied today's real world internet get rich today schemes. And to the Don Lapre's of the world and other scum suckers like him... I only have these words for you my friend - I will look down on you as you burn in hell... And most likely will smile...

I know it was Don that responded to previous messages and created email threads in attempt to add credibility to his current scam. I know this because Don never finished high school. Spelling and grammar in his responses simply highlight this fact.

Whomever you are in previous responses supporting Don Lapre's (Don or his crony) programs... One thing... Weather means: the state of the atmosphere with respect to heat or cold, wetness or dryness, calm or storm, clearness or cloudiness
