I ordered a product called the almighty cleanse. It did not work for me, I live in Canada. It was hell trying to send it back, needed FDA #, Direct Marketing did nothing to help, ignored my calls / e-mails and are not returning me refund of $300.00,30 day gaurantee. Took almost 3 months to get the package back in they're hands. With no help from them. Promises to return calls. No communication!!!

In July I saw a program for the Almighty cleanse. It's supposed to help with your bowels/clean them out. So stupid me ordered it. I never order stuff off of the T.V/computer, but since I have alot of stomach problems, so I thought I would try it. Plus the product had a 30 day "money back gaurantee." So I woulden't lose anything right? Wrong!

I followed the directions for a week as specified, and of course there was no cleansing of the system and it did absolutly nothing for me. Now this product had cost me over $300.00 Canadian for a one year supply. (I know stupid me.)

So I called Direct Marketing Concepts to get the information and I. D #'s that I needed to return the package through the proper channels. I sent the package through purolator courier, and thought everything was good.

A couple of weeks later I recieved a call from the courior, stating that I needed an FDA # to send the package across the border. I phoned directed marketing and spoke with the supervisor Cathy. She acted like she had no idea why I would have problems and gave me the companys FDA #.

After dealing with purolator again, I recieve another call Stating that I needed to get my own FDA #. So a week later I get the #, faxed it to the courier and away the package goes again.

Then I recieve a call saying that the border needs a tax I. D #, again I speak to Cathy who is "surprised" that I'm still having problems and says that she'll phone the courier. Whether she did, I'll never know.

It seemed very surprising to me, that a big company like Direct Marketing, woulden't know what kind of problems I would have returning the package. I'm sure that they send products to Canada all they time. I'm also very sure that Canadians have (tried) to return these products also. So It shoulden't be just me with problems returning packages across the border.

So after that gets cleared up, I find out that the FDA # has expired and I have to reapply for another one.By the time the package finally arrived at Direct Marketing it was October.

So I call Direct Marketing wondering when I will be seeing my refund. The lady (Lea) in customer service tells me that she is sending my file to the refund dept. And I should be seeing it in the next week.

Of course there was no refund to be seen. So I call Lea again and leave a message (now this was all after calling Cathy and leaving several messages with no reply) of course then Lea was not returning my calls.

Every time that I would call the company, all that I would get is an answing service and no replys.

So started E-mailing them on November 15. After a couple of E-mails I finally recieved 5 replys back on December 26 and 27. One "apologizing for the delay, They just took over a new company from Kevin Troudue and were just waiting for the ok for my refund from Chicago?"

A couple others on the same day stating that my file has been closed, have a nice day. And then the next day asking for more information on my case and I. D #'s!?

What is with this company? Is there no comunication? All that they have done is give me the run around from day one! I'm still sending them E-mails and as of January 26 I have still not recieved any replys on to what is going on with my money.

I warn all people to stay far away from this company-Direct Maketing Concepts - it's just a scam to rob you of your hard earned cash.

I can tell you that after this very expensive lesson I will never order anthing off of the T.V/Internet. Not saying that all companys are like this but you can never be too careful.
