One Stop Motors
Tried to scam me Nevada

Miscellaneous

I am writing to thank everyone for reporting One Stop Motor scams. I am very sorry that people have lost millions of dollars. I have not been scammed by them thankfully, due to everyone reporting their own scams.

I was called by Michele from One Stop Motors. My caller id'd the call as 2500 S Rancho with a 702 area code. I thought another telemarketing scam. Little did I know. My husband originally took their call and told them they needed to speak to me. My husband also thought their deal was a good one. He insisted I call. I was against it.

However, I did call and speak to Michele. She told me exactly what I've read in everyone's reports. First, I was suspicious of the call. I spoke with Michele and second, I was suspicious of my receipt of a cashier's check for payment of my car or receive payment through a bank wire. (Prior to this call, I was explaining to my husband to NEVER give out his social security number, and a definite sign of a scam is when a caller calls you and mentions a bank wire transfer.)

Michele told me everything that One Stop Motors would do for me: exactly what all of you have reported! She mentioned the cost for me would be $499 for advertising my car. This didn't sit right with me. I ask her about their website and told her I would get back to her. I was suspicious. While I was on the phone, she told me to go to my computer and open Yahoo.com, which I did. She then told me to search "classic corvette" which I did. It was listed in the top 3 positions.

When I hung up the phone, I went to One Stop Motors website and briefly scanned their home page. I am selling my mustang GT convertible. Curiously, I did the same kind of search as the vet and searched "classic mustang" to see if One Stop Motors would come up. Nothing. I searched "classic camero" and NOTHING. I believe in 3 strikes you're out especially when I searched for "one stop motors" and the results were rip off reports. I couldn't find one car that One Stop Motor was selling in a search.

Michele told me about being in top 3 of a search, that I wasn't selling my car for enough money, they would advertise my car until it was sold, they had buyers they found cars for and they made their money financing the cars and shipping (using Mayflower). She said they needed pictures, that I would make my $499 back when they sold my car for more money. If I have forgotten to list anything, you all have included it in your stories.

I've investigated this company and saved myself $499. It was because of this consumer complaints website reading everyone's experiences that was the final straw. (My husband was also convinced.) Thank you to everyone who has the guts to share their experiences so that others (like my husband and myself) will not be ripped off. Thanks again.
