Magazines Incorporated
Ripoff Deceptive pitch fraudulent billing scum of the earth

Miscellaneous

Received call on my cell, should have been wary of that but it being a new phone I have gotten a couple sales pitches recently. Sales pitch goes along the line of my being a Visa card holder and I am entitled for entry into a sweepstakes and a low, low price per month on a magazine subscription.$4.64 total per month for 4 years for 3 mags. Ok I have seen similar offers, but still I didn't follow my intuition and hang up. They continue to tell you that same low price. Not yet have I given my card info. I received a call back to confirm my order. Still pitching the same low price, it sounded like a decent deal and I give them my card info. Then and only then do they tell you that instead of them billing you 48 times, to reduce the hassle they will bill you 12 times for $83.24 per month. I said no and they then reduced it to 41.00 for 24 months, I once again adamantly told them no. They said, ok well you are still entered in the sweepstakes and hung up. The moment they hung up I knew that I had been had. They too stated during the conversation that they were in Arizona. I have read of similar almost exact tactics used by another company name also in Virginia Beach. Magazine Vaus I believe which I am sure is one in the same. Be aware of these bottom feeders and dont give your card info. I have seen the exact scam complaint on another reporting site also regarding Magazine Inc.
