When I started working at Pizza and Pasta. I got started at $5.50 an hour when other employees were started at $8.00. Another employee told me than when the boss does not want people she does not fire them she just gives them really bad hours.
Later I found out that I was pregnant so I decided to tell my boss ahead of time. My boss told me that she does not do maternity leave, that she had a recent employee that was pregnant and she just had to quit. The next day when I went to work all of the employees on shift were making fun of me for being pregnant and saying really mean things, because my boss told one of them that I was pregnant, without my permission, and he told everyone else.
After my boss found out that I was pregnant she told me my schedule for the next week and I did not have to work for an entire week. I only got one day out of the next week to work and very few hours. I did not have a problem with being on time or showing up for work, so the only reason I could think of her giving me bad hours is because I was pregnant.
