Stoney Run Builders, The Sales Force Of George Harrison, His Superior Kevin Walsh And The Contractor Matt Crowl misleading, dishonest, unprofessional and poor quality workmanship, Ripoff

Stoney Run Builders whose main team is from the original Clearview Builders.

Clearview Sales force and Contractors are at it again, working together under a new Company called Stoney Run Builders And Realty Inc. They advertise build the home of your dreams.

Now we all know Dennis Slayton has been in and out of jail and is currently being sued for all his worldly possessions, but did you ever wonder what happened to his Sales force. You know George Harrison, Kevin and George Gallagher teamed with Kevin Walsh and Deanna Tregaskis, all from the main office of Clearview.

The same office that mislead all their Clients into believing their homes were still in progress, when in fact they were gutting the main office in Broadheadsville. The same people who we trusted with our savings and dreams for many months, and we didn't even get a call to inform you what was in store.

Well call me a glutton for punishment, after loosing my initial investment a $5000 dollar down, I still decided to build a home with Stoney Run Builders. We had faith and believed in one particular sales person (George Harrison) of the original Clearview team.

Of course in the beginning everything seemed great. We were given verbal estimates, we agreed on prices, made our upgrades, along with standard picks. We were told permits were in and it would take 6 months to build, our tentative move in date end of November.

We applied for a 9 month construction loan, and everyone was anxious to get started. The original plans and purchase order did not match, so we initialed changes that were to be given to the contractor prior to building.

The first surprise came minutes after closing, we were told by George Harrison the wood burning fireplace we ordered could not be installed according to plan. Everything from that point on went downhill. Furthermore because of an error between the Sales force and the Contractor, we have a gas fireplace that could have been installed anywhere in the room.

Our estimates doubled in most cases and tripled in others. We were told by George Harrison he received estimates from a number of sub contractors, we only saw one. The head of the Sales force team Kevin Walsh actually told me although you made all your picks both standard and upgrades in our Office, after the contract was signed at the closing the Sales force has nothing to do with us. It was merely for our convenience we made our picks there.

Well of course things heated up, I demanded to speak to someone over his head and was told by Matt Crowl the licensed Contractor from Mooseywood Construction, Kevin Walsh was the top executive and we had nowhere else to turn.

When in fact both Stoney Run Builders and Mooseywood Construction Company are both backed and paid by Boulder Creek Resorts and according to Skip Frey of Boulder Creek, they are very much involved with the building process. My wife and I found this out after months of mistakes, arguments, aggravation, disappointments and of course additional finances.

To give you an idea it took 7 months to get a correct additional work authorization document from Mooseywood Construction. We agreed not to rip out the gas fireplace because we were told we would make our deadline of March for our construction loan. When that couldn't be met we were told the fine print states the have until May in our contract to complete the home.

When Skip Frey did get involved many problems could not be fixed. I must say he always conducted himself with class, understanding, and very professional. He is a man of his word. Unfortunately his crew left him out of the picture.

Don't get me wrong we had a few good experiences with a couple of sub contractors who worked on our home. For example: the Company who did the foundation and the excavator did an excellent job. We met both and they always carried themselves in a professional manner and I would without a doubt recommend their services. But for the most part it's been a nightmare.

My wife and I have over 300 emails backing everything we claim and we also have a list of all the sub contractors who worked on our home. Please before signing with Stoney Run Builders come see our home. See first hand the quality of workmanship that went into our home and let us tell you of the lack of professionalism demonstrated to us throughout our building process. We will go into detail every problem we had and back it up with corresponding emails from both the Sales force and the Contractor. My wife and I finally moved into our home, May 8, but still have outstanding worked to be finished by the builder.

Building a home should be an exciting and very happy experience. We dread the weekly drive to see what was done or more important what wasn't done. And on some occasions what was changed because of a decision made solely by the Contractor or one of his team. We are offering the Pocono Community an opportunity to see for themselves our home, we will answer all questions. I have contacted 4 different people at The Pocono Record and they felt this complaint, although every other day there is an article on Clearview Slayton was not worthy of ink on paper. Who knows maybe Boulder Creek is a big supporter of the newspaper.

Skip Frey has done additional work since our closing date and has paid a percentage for the work I had done from outside companies. He has compensated some monies towards some mistakes made by his team, others we have to live with. I have agreed not to take legal action against him, my wife who is also on the deed would not sign any such agreement.
