CIC Triple Advantage, Freecreditreport.com scamming and dishonest policies Ripoff

So I went to the yahoo.com advertised link to freecreditreport.com back in March and signed up to see my credit report once. I've read other reports and I've heard of being able to select a button that says you want to receive 1 report rather than three (which you have to pay for?) and also some very fine print buried somewhere that says that when you view your free credit report, you also are signing up for, basically, $12 to be taken out of your checking account every month — for no reason. Soon after I tried to call the company when I saw the "irving california" thing on my checking account statement. Obviously like everyone else the phone number listed didn't work or reach anyone. It was TOTALLY bogus! I believe that in late April or early May (it's so long ago) I got ahold of someone and asked them to close the account. Well soon after I stopped using that bank account but unfortunately for me, didn't close it completely. The money kept being taken out of my account every month, causing my credit line to go into debt to pay off this 12$/month charge, and with a little 4 m/o baby I am honest enough to admit that after we switched banks I was so busy and totally forgot about the fiasco. Well I looked on my account again to make sure it was all right to close completely and saw the charges being taken out and found a number, I believe off of this web site, which actually got ahold of someone. I told her I wanted to cancel my "account" and she kept saying "no, that will be an option, but wait, if you keep your account I am authorized to give you a $24 gift card, " and "no, wait, yous hould wait to cancel until your monthly membership is up so that you can have the benefits of membership for another 2 weeks." I had to literally interrupt her and forcefully demand that she close my account right then and there. She said she did and I hung up. I got an email confirmation of the cancellation right away, and the next day I got my VERY FIRST e-mail in 7 months informing me of "no new activity to my credit report".
I am reporting this to my bank and closing my account as soon as they put two months' worth of charges back in my account (bank rules).
What a scam!!!
