Apartments ripoff do not get an apartment here!

I live in Granada's apartment complex in Erie, PA. When i first signed the lease with my girlfriend towards the end of spring I left them a sheet of things that NEEDED repaired in the apartment, some includes the shower, dishwasher, air conditioning unit, carpet needs stretched (unsafe)...

So my main things were the shower, AC and the dishwasher and i was promised they would be repaired before i moved in... On my move in date everything was disqustingly dirty and and all the promises and agreements were not met.

The shower would spray like a fire hose and the hot water would only last about 2 minutes which is enough time to really rinse off, and it somehow leaks onto the bathroom floor from the seaming of the wall to the tub, 1 month and 14 days of consistant calling attempting to get it fixed my floor finally caved through the downstairs neighbors apartment, flooding his apartment with a tub full off my girlfriends bath water
They came the next day after calling the emergncy line and did a shotty repair job on the pipes and while they were there i also had them take a peak at my AC all it needed was a new fuse and a new power supply.
I reminded them that i needed my dishwasher replaced ASAP as i was previously promised before and after signing the lease he said he didnt have time to do it today but he would be buy in a few more hours to check it out.

6 months later i caught the same maintanence worker out front of my building so i caught up with him and reminded him that i still need a new dishwasher, so he came up to the apartment and looked at it for 30 minutes or so then said "Well, It's broken" i replied with "I know, I have been telling granada that for 7 months when i first signed the lease"

He then said he would put out an order for me to get a new dishwasher and he would have it installed that friday (in 2 days)

I then expressed my appreciation of him helping me out.
That friday, late in the afternoon i called the front office to see why they haven't put my dishwasher in yet...

My dishwasher has been on "back order" for the past month in a half

And just yesterday 10/2/06 they said once again that my dishwaser will be installed on friday... We shall see

There are so many small prints in this lease after actually reading everything back through... You give too many of your rights away. And are subject to too many unlawful things... I know that half of this stuff can't be legal.

My advice to people thinking of moving into granada,
Think it through, take a few days to read over the lease agreements... And if your are going to move in make them sign a piece of paper that says everything that i tell you needs fixed must be repaired before the move in date

If they won't even think of signing it, Walk Away!
