Rent to Own Ripoff

I have waited almost a year and finally there is feedback from others regarding Heskett! I see that he has offered to settle the debts owed to others. I was looking for a house in Nov./ 05 and ran across a Dallas Morning News ad. My wife and I met him and were told about a property in West Plano.

We went to view the home and Heskett "could not make it". But the occupants had packed and were in the process of moving at the time. We called and informed him that we would like to make a deposit. He asked that we meet him at the Office Depot on Plano Pkwy and N. Dallas Tollway.

I paid him $1000.00 at that time and met him a few days later and paid another $500.00. He kept telling me that the occupants were preparing to move and that hew was having the property painted a neww carpet installed.

I kept riding by and no one was ever there. One day I stopped by and there was a truck parked out front. He had rented the house to another person as well.

The rest of the story reads like everyone else's Haven't been able to contact him since... Etc. Etc...
