Repeated hang-up calls and threat of class action over debt collection

I have had several calls from RPM regarding a bill. The problem is that every time I answer, the other person hangs up. On 8/1/06 I had two hang-ups, and today, 8/2/06, I had a total of FOUR telephone calls, all hang-ups, so I was at my wits' end and contacted them after the third call. I have caller ID, so this made it easy. The girl asked for my spouse and would give no information. I told her that I had received three calls, all hang-ups, and she said she would note the file. Another call came in around 8:30 P.M. and I called back and spoke with a Jeremy. I told him it is not legal in the State of Florida to harass people just because they owe a debt. He asked if I did my homework before I called because of the FCCPA law. I told him they are not allowed to call again.

I informed him I did contact Attorney General Charlie Crist, Consumer Protection, and the National Do Not Call Registry, and that I am contacting Morgan and Morgan, which is a law firm that handles collection harassment. I did hang up after that. I am now awaiting a response from Morgan and Morgan to see if, when I get more people involved, we can file a class action lawsuit or sue this company as individuals.
