Gaylord Memorial Weekend Festival
Arts and crafts show ripoff

Our art company made application to show in the Old South Gaylord Memorial Day Weekend Festival. This was mailed on February 28. This was a juried show so we had to send money for the jury process, money for the booth, and a deposit for utilities at that time.
The application stated that application were due by March 1 and no refunds after April 1. We received notification from Barbara (ROR REDACTED FULL NAME), Vendor Relations, dated April 10th that we had been accepted into the show. But our checks for booth and jury fees were cashed on April 6th. This was four days before being notified of acceptance.
As we were not notified prior to the April 1 deadline for refunds, there was no valid contract. We contacted the Festival on May 1 that we were cancelling our booth. We wrote a letter requesting the refund, Barbara called to say we would not receive it and I discussed these issue above with her at that time.
On May 4th, I put into letter form the above discussion and information and there has been no response since that time. This is a complete ripoff as we could not have requested a refund by April 1st and they have no right to keep our money when they did not keep the terms of their own agreement.
