Team One Promotions ripoff dishonest insulting and generally rude to employees

I never knew about this site until yesterday, and now I can tell my story.

I worked for Kirby/Team One promotions in Topeka, Ks for about 1 week, they originally enticed me with a "Make $2100 in one month" ad when I was looking for a summer job back from college.

They told me that it was Kirby and immediatly I was skeptical. I didn't want to sell to people who didn't want to hear me! But he told me that they had "appointment setters" and that it would be no trouble at all.

Before I go on I would like to share with you the definition of APPOINTMENT - noun - date: a meeting arranged in advance please note the last word... Advance... As in they already knew we were coming... But i digress... Back to the story.

So after 2 days of training, (our class started with 8 and by day 2 were down to 3) we start our day... I am assuming I will recieve a list of addresses for me to hit during the day, an when I'm done, I'm done! But no... We PILE into a van and drive, not around the Topeka area where it is based, BUT AROUND KANSAS CITY. An almost 2 hour drive away. But thats okay, because I'm sure that I will be given my APPOINTMENT list soon.

WRONG! We stop at a house and a girl gets out of the van, she runs to the door with a dustbuster like device and knocks on the door. She then runs back to us and one guy jumps out of the van and ask "so we're in?" to which she replies "she might say no." At that point I ask if these people know we are coming. Our driver laughs and says.."no!" in a tone that suggests I should have known that from the beginning.

On TOP of that, I found out that they give the "gift" to the people and if they do NOT want to hear it they take it away... Now thats fine, but they actually told the "appointment makers" or doorknockers, that if need be just say "here is a free gift", and then say they forgot something in the van and come up with a kirby salesman. I'm not 100% sure but I believe that giving with no strings attached and THEN when they don't want to hear your speech, taking the free gift away is illegal.

After starting at 9:00AM and getting back at 11:30PM I was done with the "company".

And I also know that they can strike anywhere at anytime. I was visiting my folks for labor day weekend and sure enough an "appointment setter" came to our door with a free gift of knives... When my mother shooed them away, they said "well then we need our knives back."

These "companies" use horrible buisness tactics and decieve people with moral value and then make them feel horrible when they find out they were decieved.
