Rebate Ripoff!

In December I purchased a 19" LCD AG Neovo pc monitor model F-419 from Buy. Dot com. There was a dual rebate offer included with the purchase from the manufacturer. One rebate was for $10 and the second was $40. The forms were downloaded from the Buy.com website where I purchased the monitor.

I followed the requirements and submitted both rebates on 12-05-05 they were mailed to two differnt PO boxes in San Jose, CA. The forms stated to allow 8-12 weeks for the rebates.

Well it's been over fifteen weeks since the rebates were mailed. I emailed Buy.com several time concerning the rebate but only got a canned reply that said "Thank you for emailing us. Your email will be read and answered within 10 hours OR your email will be escalated to our corporate headquarters for claims, refunds, and policy exceptions". Please allow one or two business days for us to process these kinds of requests. Of course, I never have received a reply.

On March 22 I notified Buy.com to close my account as I would not be doing business w / them again as I feel they are not a reputable web business.

So it looks like another $50 rebate scam!!!
