They tried to rip me off. 6290 North Point Parkway

I bought a car stereo from CC and they tried to screw me when I brought it back for warranty. First let me say that the guys doing the install and the repair were great. The head unit had stopped working out of the blue and they said yep, it's not working, we should replace it.

The woman at the service counter who was handling the warranty was not great. She didn't immediately approve the fix. After a few days they called me back and said ok we'll replace it. When I got down there 1st she lied to me. She said well, the unit you had was x dollars when you bought it and it's x dollars more now. She wanted me to pay the extra. I said no way and got bitchy and she caved. Come to find out, the stereo was not more expense it was less. It was a year old, what piece of electronic equipment goes up in price in a year??? She was lying just to make me pay some money. Good god.

Then she say's that the extended warrany that I paid for then was now more and that I should also pay the difference there. I'm like "what the hell? I bought the warranty then not now." What do I look like a rube? I got bitchy again and she caved again. All you have to do is ask for a regional managers name in one of those stores and they cave. If that doesn't work, keep going up the chain.

I just can't belive the lengths that these people are willing to go to for a buck. Is all of corporate America turning into Enron? I guess it is time to buy gold.
