My son was also victimized by Consolidated Media Services. The CMS representative told him he had been chosen to receive a free trial subscription to Time, Esquire, and Sports Illustrated, a free watch, and two collector's coins. When he told them he wasn't interested in these magazines, she said he had to accept them on a temporary basis in order to be entered in the $50,000 sweepstakes. To make a long story short, his credit card has been debited $66.65 each month for the last two months, and when he called the 800 number and attempted to cancel this "subscription", he was told he would have to pay a $680 "cancellation fee".
