Rip-off scam for credit report

I visited www.freecreditreport.com after I saw the ad on T.V. I entered my info and the screen went blank. No report. I entered the info again and the info disappeared again and still no report. So I gave up.

I recieved my credit card statement in Dec. Charged $1.00 from privacy matters (800-436-0817) and another chg. For $29.95. My Jan bill, again $29.95 from the same company. Twice I called the # and was on hold over 45 min. Never an answer.

I found out the phone # is for Adaptive Marketing LLC. I went online to freecreditreport.com and found a phone # (877-481-6826) to report the problem of possibly someone hi-jacking info off their site and find out the # is actually CIC Triple Advantage and they are not a reputable Co. They claim to be involved with Experian. The other phone #'s are for www.myperfectcredit.com and somehow all these web-sites are all shady, to say the least.

All I am trying to do is find out who has all my personal information and I keep hitting a dead-end.

Iguess the Internet is a bucket of bogus web sites.
