I had relocated to Los Angeles a few years ago, but initially decided to keep my condo at The Ansonia Condominium in New York City. After my last tenant vacated, I decided it was time for me to sell my condo. I decided to use the in-house realtors to put it on the market. Per the suggestion of the in-house realtors, I decided to do a full window replacement/upgrade of my condo in order to increase the monetary value of the condo and make more on the sale.

Marc Lippman (the building manager for The Ansonia Condominium) recommended that I go through Kraswood LLC for all the construction. Marc said that Kraswood LLC handled almost all the work for The Ansonia, and that they did excellent work. Seeing as I was in Los Angeles, and that Marc was my building manager, I decided to trust his recommendation and go with Kraswood LLC to do my window replacement/upgrade. I paid about 8K up front and almost a grand total of 17K to get the work completed. Marc and Kraswood received all my money without me seeing any of the work that they did.
Unbeknownst to Marc, I decided to head back to New York in June before the sale of my condo went through. I traveled back to New York with a good friend of mine who also happens to be a general contractor out here in California. When we saw the completed work on the windows, we were outraged. My friend estimated they performed a job that could not have cost more than 2K.

Thus, I realized there was a good 15K discrepancy.
I immediately went to Marc's office to ask him why the job was done so poorly and for an itemized receipt of exactly where my 17K went. Marc was gone from the office, and his associate (Jean Smith) said that they don't give receipts for the work they perform. Jean said Marc would be in the next day, and I should speak to him. I came by the next day (which was my last day in New york), and wouldn't you know it, Marc didn't come into the office that day. I called him to discuss this matter and get some answers, but he (to this day) has yet to respond. I took several pictures of their sub-par work to be used as evidence when I finally bring justice to Marc and all who work with him. It's clear that Marc is confident that he, along with all other players involved, has gotten away with this scam. Unfortunately for Marc and all others involved, this usacomplaints.com notice is just the beginning of my efforts to bring their shady operation to an end.

If Marc Lippman or Kraswood LLC has done this to you or someone you know, feel free to contact me directly. I've retained a lawyer, and we are building a civil lawsuit against Marc Lippman, Kraswood LLC, and perhaps The Ansonia Condominium (if we find out that The Ansonia Condominium had something to do with this scam). Don't let these crooks continue to get away with this shady operation.
