Ripoff, deceptive, skilled liars

I changed my email cause I got ripped-off by a young man selling magazines. He caught Dad and I outside at dusk as I saw him come out of my next door neighbor's home. He told us that his grandmother (who has alzehimers) walked her poodles in our neighborhood. That our next door neighbor knew her and that he was in a contest and had already won to go to London for a 6 week course with John Cleese and that it would be on the BBC channel on Feb 17th. I could go on an on about everything he told us... But long story short: I wrote him a check for 92$ and then... Later got a call from another neighbor 2 doors further down.

She had turned him down and he got really ugly and slammed his way out of her house..

Yet another neighbor called and said he shook his fist at her front door...

Turns out next door neighbor (we are all very close as neighbors go) did not know him or his grandmother and his visit came from a long line of lies... Lies... From one neighbor to the next. He told the neighbors down from me that he was really good friends with Dad and me.
Because the people who do this won't get it... But because the rest of us will... HOw sick is it to prey on people who want to really help those in need and really trying? The magazines were to go to the Shriner's, Hilights for children in hospitals.

We put a stop payment on the check and
I closed the account. It was a pain in the ass.
Watch out for these people! He even had me write something nice about him... He got extra points for a scholarship.

Because I saw my neighbor's check and believed this kid, Chad Icar... I can't believe that I was taken. His mother had "just died of luekemia".
I could go on and on.
